Book of II Corinthians: A Cheerful Giver

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (NKJV)

[6] But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
[7 ]So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
[8] And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Book of I Corinthians: The Lord’s Supper

I Corinthians 11:23-26 (NKJV)

[23] For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;
[24] and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
[25] In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
[26] For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

Book of Romans: Divisive people need to be avoided

Romans 16:17-20 (NKJV)

[17] Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.
[18] For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.
[19] For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil.
[20] And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Book of Acts: Shipwrecked on the Island of Malta

Acts 27:39-44 (NKJV)

[39] When it was day, they did not recognize the land; but they observed a bay with a beach, onto which they planned to run the ship if possible.
[40] And they let go the anchors and left them in the sea, meanwhile loosing the rudder ropes; and they hoisted the mainsail to the wind and made for shore.
[41] But striking a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the prow stuck fast and remained immovable, but the stern was being broken up by the violence of the waves.
[42] And the soldiers’ plan was to kill the prisoners, lest any of them should swim away and escape.
[43] But the centurion, wanting to save Paul, kept them from their purpose, and commanded that those who could swim should jump overboard first and get to land,
[44] and the rest, some on boards and some on parts of the ship. And so it was that they all escaped safely to land.

Book of John: Breakfast by the sea

John 21:7-12 (NKJV)

[7] Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea.
[8] But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish.
[9] Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread.
[10] Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”
[11] Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken.
[12] Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.” Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?”—knowing that it was the Lord.
