Book of II Timothy: Perilous times will come

II Timothy 3:1-5 (NKJV)

[1] But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
[2] For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
[3] unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,
[4] traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
[5] having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

Book of I Timothy: Came into the world with nothing, we'll leave with nothing

I Timothy 6:6-1 (NKJV)
[6] Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
[7] For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
[8] And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
[9] But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
[10] For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Book of II Thessalonians: Pray for Us

II Thessalonians 3:1-5 (NKJV)

[1] Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you,
[2] and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.
[3] But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
[4] And we have confidence in the Lord concerning you, both that you do and will do the things we command you.
[5] Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

Book of I Thessalonians: Dead in Christ will rise first

I Thessalonians 4:14-17 (NKJV)

[14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
[15] For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
[16] For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
[17] Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
