Book of Revelation: Things which must take place

Revelation 1:1-3 (NKJV)

[1] The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,
[2] who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw.
[3] Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.

Book of Psalm: Oh, Give Thanks to the Lord

Psalm 107:1-9 (NKJV)

[1] Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
[2] Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,
[3] And gathered out of the lands,
From the east and from the west,
From the north and from the south.
[4] They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way;
They found no city to dwell in.
[5] Hungry and thirsty,
Their soul fainted in them.
[6] Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
And He delivered them out of their distresses.
[7] And He led them forth by the right way,
That they might go to a city for a dwelling place.
[8] Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
[9] For He satisfies the longing soul,
And fills the hungry soul with goodness.

Book of Job: Satan is not allowed to kill Job

Job 2:1-6 (NKJV)

[1] Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord.
[2] And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?”
Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”
[3] Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause.”
[4] So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life.
[5] But stretch out Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”
[6] And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”

Book of Mark: His own town did even want Him there

Mark 6:1-4 (NKJV)

[1] Then He went out from there and came to His own country, and His disciples followed Him.
[2] And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, “Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands!
[3] Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him.
[4] But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.”

Book of Matthew: Two blind men recieve their sight

Matthew 20:29-34 (KNJV)

[29] Now as they went out of Jericho, a great multitude followed Him.
[30] And behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”
[31] Then the multitude warned them that they should be quiet; but they cried out all the more, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”
[32] So Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?”
[33] They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.”
[34] So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.

Book of Genesis: Laban goes after Jacob

Genesis 31:22-32 (NKJV)

[22] And Laban was told on the third day that Jacob had fled.
[23] Then he took his brethren with him and pursued him for seven days journey, and he overtook him in the mountains of Gilead.
[24] But God had come to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night, and said to him, “Be careful that you speak to Jacob neither good nor bad.”
[25] So Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mountains, and Laban with his brethren pitched in the mountains of Gilead.
[26] And Laban said to Jacob: “What have you done, that you have stolen away unknown to me, and carried away my daughters like captives taken with the sword?
[27] Why did you flee away secretly, and steal away from me, and not tell me; for I might have sent you away with joy and songs, with timbrel and harp?
[28] And you did not allow me to kiss my sons and my daughters. Now you have done foolishly in so doing.
[29] It is in my power to do you harm, but the God of your father spoke to me last night, saying, Be careful that you speak to Jacob neither good nor bad.
[30] And now you have surely gone because you greatly long for your father’s house, but why did you steal my gods?”
[31] Then Jacob answered and said to Laban, “Because I was afraid, for I said, Perhaps you would take your daughters from me by force.”
[32] With whomever you find your gods, do not let him live. In the presence of our brethren, identify what I have of yours and take it with you.” For Jacob did not know that Rachel had stolen them.

Book of Romans: Love Your Neighbor

Romans 13:8-10 (NKJV)

[8] Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
[9] For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
[10] Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Book of II Kings: The Floating Ax Head

II Kings 6:1-7 (NKJV)

[1] And the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “See now, the place where we dwell with you is too small for us.
[2] Please, let us go to the Jordan, and let every man take a beam from there, and let us make there a place where we may dwell.”
So he answered, “Go.”
[3] Then one said, “Please consent to go with your servants.”
And he answered, “I will go.”
[4] So he went with them. And when they came to the Jordan, they cut down trees.
[5] But as one was cutting down a tree, the iron ax head fell into the water; and he cried out and said, “Alas, master! For it was borrowed.”
[6] So the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float.
[7] Therefore he said, “Pick it up for yourself.” So he reached out his hand and took it.

Book of Ephesians: The whole armor of God

Ephesians 6:10-17 (NKJV)

[10] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
[11] put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12] For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
[13] Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
[14] Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
[15] and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
[16] above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
[17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

Greedy for Money and Power

~Now that 2018 is on its way, we have seen little change. Matter of fact it has gotten worse. Mostly due to people becoming so complacent about the situation the world is in right now, not to mention most people are just self-absorbed and greedy. Big businesses are not all to blame for this mess the world is in, it falls on everyone who thought that their glass houses would not break. It has become all about me and what I can get, what others can give me and sadly what I can take from others. It’s so completely sad that people are so addicted to money, power and things.

Why, is a question hard answered. Maybe it is because they are searching for something to fill a void in their lives. Most people who have an abundance of wealth aren’t really happy. They put on a good face (mask) but if you look at recent events, how many of them have died with all their wealth, because they overdosed, committed suicide or even got murdered for it? They are not happy or content they are dead.

So why would anyone want to strive to be the richest, most popular, or the most talked about on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or any other internet (thing) you can get attention on. You can’t take any of it with you. Things are out of control and God is the only one who can help get it on the right track. So what is it worth to you to have everything you ever wanted but lose your life to an eternity in Hell? Besides Heaven has so much more then what we could ever own here on earth. It’s always been our choice, Heaven or Hell. What or who do you worship?

Psalm 37:16 (NKJV)
16. A little that a righteous man has
is better than the riches of many wicked.

Proverbs 11:4 (NASB)
4. Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
But righteousness delivers from death.

Proverbs 11:6 (NASB)
6. The righteousness of the upright will deliver them,
But the treacherous will be caught by their own greed.

Proverbs 11:28 (NASB)
28. He who trusts in his riches will fall,
But the righteous will flourish like the green leaf.

Proverbs 14:20 (NKJV)
20. The poor man is hated even by his own neighbor,
But the rich has many friends.

Proverbs 19:4 (NKJV)
4. Wealth makes many friends,
But the poor is separated from his friend.

Proverbs 23:4-5 (NLT)
4. Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich.
Be wise enough to know when to quit.
5. In the blink of an eye wealth disappears,
for it will sprout wings
and fly away like an eagle.

Proverbs 28:22 (NKJV)
22. A man with an evil eye hastens after riches,
And does not consider that poverty will come upon him.

 Jeremiah 6:13 (NASB)
13. "For from the least of them even to the greatest of them,
Everyone is greedy for gain,
And from the prophet even to the priest
Everyone deals falsely.

Luke 18:18-23 (NASB) - The Rich Young Ruler
18. A ruler questioned Him, saying, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"
19. And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.
20. "You know the commandments, 'DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, DO NOT MURDER, DO NOT STEAL, DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER.'"
21. And he said, "All these things I have kept from my youth."
22. When Jesus heard this, He said to him, "One thing you still lack; sell all that you possess and distribute it to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."
23. But when he had heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich.

James 5:1-6 (NKJV) - Rich Oppressors Will Be Judged
1. Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you!
2. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.
3. Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days.
4. Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.
5. You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter.
6. You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you.

Luke 6:24-26 (NASB)
24. "But woe to you who are rich, for you are receiving your comfort in full.
25. "Woe to you who are well-fed now, for you shall be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.
26. "Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers used to treat the false prophets in the same way.

Haggai 1:5-7 (NASB)
5. Now therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts, "Consider your ways!
6. "You have sown much, but harvest little; you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is not enough to become drunk; you put on clothing, but no one is warm enough; and he who earns, earns wages to put into a purse with holes."
7. Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Consider your ways!

Matthew 6:19-21 (NASB)
19. "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
20. "But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;
21. for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Timothy 6:7-10 (NKJV)
7. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
9. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

~What it all comes down to is you can’t put money or things before God. When we do that we are saying, God is not important. You might not think God is not important at all. Things will to go good for a time but then all of a sudden you will be making money and saving it, but it seems you have none left over. As fast as it comes, it goes just as fast. Can’t serve God and money, it has to be God first and God will help with the things you need.  He says, “He will supply our needs, not our wants”. So please just look to see if you are making the right choices. It will make all the difference.

Exodus 20:3 (NASB)
3. "You shall have no other gods before Me.

Matthew 6:24 (NASB)
24. "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other You cannot serve God and wealth.

Philippians 4:19 (NASB)
19. And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 23:1 (NASB)
1. The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not want.

Exodus: On the mountain with God

Exodus 24:9-18 (NKJV)

[9] Then Moses went up, also Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel,
[10] and they saw the God of Israel. And there was under His feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and it was like the very heavens in its clarity.
[11] But on the nobles of the children of Israel He did not lay His hand. So they saw God, and they ate and drank.
[12] Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them.”
[13] So Moses arose with his assistant Joshua, and Moses went up to the mountain of God.
[14] And he said to the elders, “Wait here for us until we come back to you. Indeed, Aaron and Hur are with you. If any man has a difficulty, let him go to them.”
[15] Then Moses went up into the mountain, and a cloud covered the mountain.
[16] Now the glory of the Lord rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day He called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
[17] The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.
[18] So Moses went into the midst of the cloud and went up into the mountain. And Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

Book of Malachi~ A Book of Remembrance

Malachi 3:16-18 (NKJV)

[16] Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another,
And the Lord listened and heard them;
So a book of remembrance was written before Him
For those who fear the Lord
And who meditate on His name.
[17] “They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts,
“On the day that I make them My jewels.
And I will spare them
As a man spares his own son who serves him.”
[18] Then you shall again discern
Between the righteous and the wicked,
Between one who serves God
And one who does not serve Him.

Book of Genesis~ Coat of many colors

Genesis 37:2-4 (NKJV)

[2] This is the history of Jacob.
Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brothers. And the lad was with the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives; and Joseph brought a bad report of them to his father.
[3] Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also he made him a tunic of many colors.
[4] But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peaceably to him.
