Book of Romans ~ One man's righteous act

Romans 5:16-21 (NKJV)

[16] And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification.

[17] For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

[18] Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.

[19] For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

[20] Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,

[21] so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Book of Isaiah ~ Unjust Laws and Punishments

Isaiah 10:1-4 (NKJV)

[1] “Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees,

Who write misfortune,

Which they have prescribed
[2] To rob the needy of justice,
And to take what is right from the poor of My people,
That widows may be their prey,
And that they may rob the fatherless.
[3] What will you do in the day of punishment,
And in the desolation which will come from afar?
To whom will you flee for help?
And where will you leave your glory?
[4] Without Me they shall bow down among the prisoners,
And they shall fall among the slain.”

For all this His anger is not turned away,
But His hand is stretched out still.

Book of Exodus ~All you can eat, quail and manna

Exodus 16:9-16 (NKJV)

[9] Then Moses spoke to Aaron, “Say to all the congregation of the children of Israel, ‘Come near before the Lord, for He has heard your complaints.”

[10] Now it came to pass, as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud.

[11] And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

[12] “I have heard the complaints of the children of Israel. Speak to them, saying, ‘At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. And you shall know that I am the Lord your God.”

[13] So it was that quail came up at evening and covered the camp, and in the morning the dew lay all around the camp.

[14] And when the layer of dew lifted, there, on the surface of the wilderness, was a small round substance, as fine as frost on the ground.

[15] So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was.

And Moses said to them, “This is the bread which the Lord has given you to eat.

[16] This is the thing which the Lord has commanded: ‘Let every man gather it according to each one’s need, one omer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent.”

Book of Matthew ~ Do not cause them to stumble

 Matthew 18:6-7 (NKJV)

[6] “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

[7] Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!

Book of Exodus ~ Cut two new stone tablets

Exodus 34:1-2 (NKJV)

[1] And the Lord said to Moses, “Cut two tablets of stone like the first ones, and I will write on these tablets the words that were on the first tablets which you broke.

[2] So be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself to Me there on the top of the mountain.

Book of John ~ Every kernel of wheat must die

John 12:23-26 (NKJV)

[23] But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified.

[24] Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.

[24] He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

[25] If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.

Book of Mark ~ My name is Legion

Mark 5:6-13 (NKJV)

[6] When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him.

[7] And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.”

[8] For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!”

[9] Then He asked him, “What is your name?”

And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.”

[10] Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country.

[11] Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains.

[12] So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.”

[13] And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.
