Book of Nehemiah: Inspection of the wall

Nehemiah 2:11-19 (NKJV)

[11] So I came to Jerusalem and was there three days.
[12] Then I arose in the night, I and a few men with me; I told no one what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem; nor was there any animal with me, except the one on which I rode.
[13] And I went out by night through the Valley Gate to the Serpent Well and the Refuse Gate, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem which were broken down and its gates which were burned with fire.
[14] Then I went on to the Fountain Gate and to the King’s Pool, but there was no room for the animal under me to pass.
[15] So I went up in the night by the valley, and viewed the wall; then I turned back and entered by the Valley Gate, and so returned.
[16] And the officials did not know where I had gone or what I had done; I had not yet told the Jews, the priests, the nobles, the officials, or the others who did the work.
[17] Then I said to them, “You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come and let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach.”
[18] And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king’s words that he had spoken to me.
So they said, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work.

Book of Titus: Subject to rulers and authorities

Titus 3:1-3 (NKJV)

[1] Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work,
[2] to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.
[3] For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.

Book of Revelation: The Two Witnesses

Revelation 11:7-11 (NKJV)

[7] When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.
[8] And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
[9] Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves.
[10] And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.


The Witnesses Resurrected

[11] Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.

Book of I Chronicles: The City of David

I Chronicles 11:4-9 (NKJV)

[4] And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus, where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land.
[5] But the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, “You shall not come in here!” Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion (that is, the City of David).
[6] Now David said, “Whoever attacks the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain.” And Joab the son of Zeruiah went up first, and became chief.
[7] Then David dwelt in the stronghold; therefore they called it the City of David.
[8] And he built the city around it, from the Millo to the surrounding area. Joab repaired the rest of the city.
[9] So David went on and became great, and the LORD of hosts was with him.

Book of Exodus: Moses asked to see God’s face

Exodus 33:18-23 (NKJV)

[18] And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.”
[19] Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”
[20] But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.”
[21] And the LORD said, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock.
[22] So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by.
[23] Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.”

Book of Exodus: He couldn't hold up his hands any longer

Exodus 17:8-13 (NKJV)

[8] Now Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
[9] And Moses said to Joshua, “Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.”
[10] So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
[11] And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
[12] But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
[13] So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

Book of Psalm: The LORD is my Shepherd

Psalm 23:1-6 (NKJV)

[1] The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall no want.
[2] He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
[3] He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
[4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
[5] You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
[6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD
Forever.

Book of 2 Kings ~ Almost ate poisioned pot of stew

II Kings 4:38-41 (NKJV)

[38] And Elisha returned to Gilgal, and there was a famine in the land. Now the sons of the prophets were sitting before him; and he said to his servant, “Put on the large pot, and boil stew for the sons of the prophets.”
[39] So one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered from it a lapful of wild gourds, and came and sliced them into the pot of stew, though they did not know what they were.
[40] Then they served it to the men to eat. Now it happened, as they were eating the stew, that they cried out and said, “Man of God, there is death in the pot!” And they could not eat it.
[41] So he said, “Then bring some flour.” And he put it into the pot, and said, “Serve it to the people, that they may eat.” And there was nothing harmful in the pot.
