Genesis 37:2-4 (NKJV)

[2] This is the history of Jacob.
Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brothers. And the lad was with the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives; and Joseph brought a bad report of them to his father.
[3] Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also he made him a tunic of many colors.
[4] But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peaceably to him.

Book of Revelation- The New Jerusalem

Revelation 21:9-21 (NKJV)

[9] Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”
[10] And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
[11] having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.
[12] Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
[13] three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.
[14] Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
[15] And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.
[16] The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal.
[17] Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.
[18] The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
[19] The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
[20] the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.
[21] The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

[1] When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
[2] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
[3] Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
[4] And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
[5] And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.
[6] And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language.
[7] Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans?
[8] And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born?
[9] Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
[10] Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,
[11] Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.”
[12] So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”
[13] Others mocking said, “They are full of new wine.”
[14] But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words.
[15] For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.

Book of I Chronicles- Moving the Ark of God

I Chronicles 13:7-14 (NKJV)

[7] So they carried the ark of God on a new cart from the house of Abinadab, and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.
[8] Then David and all Israel played music before God with all their might, with singing, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on cymbals, and with trumpets.
[9] And when they came to Chidon’s threshing floor, Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen stumbled.
[10] Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzza, and He struck him because he put his hand to the ark; and he died there before God.
[11] And David became angry because of the Lord’s outbreak against Uzza; therefore that place is called Perez Uzza to this day.
[12] David was afraid of God that day, saying, “How can I bring the ark of God to me?”
[13] So David would not move the ark with him into the City of David, but took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.
[14] The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that he had.

Book of Genesis- Jacob's hip was out of joint

Genesis 32:22-32 (NKJV)

[23] And he arose that night and took his two wives, his two female servants, and his eleven sons, and crossed over the ford of Jabbok.
[23] He took them, sent them over the brook, and sent over what he had.
[24] Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day.
[25] Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him.
[26] And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.”
But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!”
[27] So He said to him, “What is your name?”
He said, “Jacob.”
[28] And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”
[29] Then Jacob asked, saying, “Tell me Your name, I pray.”
And He said, “Why is it that you ask about My name?” And He blessed him there.
[30] So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: “For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.”
[31] Just as he crossed over Penuel the sun rose on him, and he limped on his hip.
[32] Therefore to this day the children of Israel do not eat the muscle that shrank, which is on the hip socket, because He touched the socket of Jacob’s hip in the muscle that shrank.

Book of I Kings- Victory over the prophets of Baal

I Kings 18:24-39 (NKJV)

[24] Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and the God who answers by fire, He is God.”
So all the people answered and said, “It is well spoken.”
[25] Now Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it.”
[26] So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying, “O Baal, hear us!” But there was no voice; no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made.
[27] And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, “Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened.”
[28] So they cried aloud, and cut themselves, as was their custom, with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them.
[29] And when midday was past, they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice. But there was no voice; no one answered, no one paid attention.
[30] Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me.” So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down.
[31] And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord had come, saying, “Israel shall be your name.”
[32] Then with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord; and he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs of seed.
[33] And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, “Fill four waterpots with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood.”
[34] Then he said, “Do it a second time,” and they did it a second time; and he said, “Do it a third time,” and they did it a third time.
[35] So the water ran all around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water.
[36] And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word.
[37] Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”
[38] Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.
[39] Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!”

Book of Matthew- John the Baptist, beheaded

Matthew 14:1-12 (NKJV)

[1] At that time Herod the tetrarch heard the report about Jesus
[2] and said to his servants, “This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him.”
[3] For Herod had laid hold of John and bound him, and put him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife.
[4] Because John had said to him, “It is not lawful for you to have her.”
[5] And although he wanted to put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.
[6] But when Herod’s birthday was celebrated, the daughter of Herodias danced before them and pleased Herod.
[7] Therefore he promised with an oath to give her whatever she might ask.
[8] So she, having been prompted by her mother, said, “Give me John the Baptist’s head here on a platter.”
[9] And the king was sorry; nevertheless, because of the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he commanded it to be given to her.
[10] So he sent and had John beheaded in prison.
[11] And his head was brought on a platter and given to the girl, and she brought it to her mother.
[12] Then his disciples came and took away the body and buried it, and went and told Jesus.
