Book of Amos: I will bring My people back

Amos 9:13-15 (NKJV)

[13] “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,
“When the plowman shall overtake the reaper,
And the treader of grapes him who sows seed;
The mountains shall drip with sweet wine,
And all the hills shall flow with it.
[14] I will bring back the captives of My people Israel;
They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them;
They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them;
They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.
[15] I will plant them in their land,
And no longer shall they be pulled up
From the land I have given them,”
Says the Lord your God.

Book of Leviticus: I will reward obedience

Leviticus 26:1-5 (NKJV)

[1] ‘You shall not make idols for yourselves;

neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall you rear up for yourselves;

nor shall you set up an engraved stone in your land, to bow down to it;

for I am the Lord your God.

[2] You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary:

I am the Lord.

[3] “If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them,

[4] then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

[5] Your threshing shall last till the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last till the time of sowing; you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

Genesis 7:11-12 (NKJV)

[11] In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

[12] And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.

Book of II Peter: He's not slack concerning what He promises

2 Peter 3:8-12 (NKJV)

[8] But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

[9] The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

[10] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

[11] Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,

[12] looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?

Book of Solomon: I searched for the one I love

Song of Solomon 3:1-3 (NLJV)

[1] By night on my bed I sought the one I love;
I sought him, but I did not find him.
[2] “I will rise now,” I said,
“And go about the city;
In the streets and in the squares
I will seek the one I love.”
I sought him, but I did not find him.
[3] The watchmen who go about the city found me;
I said,
“Have you seen the one I love?”

Book of Daniel:The Writing on the Wall

Daniel 5:3-5 (NKJV)

[3] Then they brought the gold vessels that had been taken from the temple of the house of God which had been in Jerusalem; and the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines drank from them.

[4] They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze and iron, wood and stone.

[5] In the same hour the fingers of a man’s hand appeared and wrote opposite the lampstand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace; and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

AND

[25] “And this is the inscription that was written

         MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.

[26] This is the interpretation of each word. MENE: God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it;

[27] TEKEL: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting;

[28] PERES: Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.”

Book of Romans ~ One man's righteous act

Romans 5:16-21 (NKJV)

[16] And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification.

[17] For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

[18] Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.

[19] For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

[20] Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,

[21] so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Book of Isaiah ~ Unjust Laws and Punishments

Isaiah 10:1-4 (NKJV)

[1] “Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees,

Who write misfortune,

Which they have prescribed
[2] To rob the needy of justice,
And to take what is right from the poor of My people,
That widows may be their prey,
And that they may rob the fatherless.
[3] What will you do in the day of punishment,
And in the desolation which will come from afar?
To whom will you flee for help?
And where will you leave your glory?
[4] Without Me they shall bow down among the prisoners,
And they shall fall among the slain.”

For all this His anger is not turned away,
But His hand is stretched out still.
